Permanent exhibition: Ozias Leduc's last masterpiece

Notre-Dame-de-la-Présentation Church, in Shawinigan-Sud, holds what is probably one of Canada's most beautiful frescoes : Ozias Leduc’s last masterpiece. This is an invitation to discover his life, his work and his inspiration.

The decoration of Notre-Dame-de-la-Présentation is part of the rich tradition of sacred art in Québec. However, very few churches underwent a complete planned pictorial decoration. Ozias Leduc, the master artist from St-Hilaire, Québec, was a leading figure in that area. The splendid decoration of Notre-Dame-de-la-Présentation eloquently portrays Leduc's approach to sacred painting.

Last entry on site : one hour before closing time

Located halfway between Montreal and Quebec City, about 40 km north of Trois-Rivières.

From Highway 40:
Take Highway 55 north in Trois-Rivières.
Exit 211 near Shawinigan and follow the signs of La Cité de l’énergie. Passed La Cité de l’énergie, keep going straight ahead and follow the blue road signs “Œuvres Ozias Leduc”
